Bangladesh Reshuffle Diplomatic Positions

The Government has decided to appoint Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, currently serving as the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia, as the next Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN Offices in Geneva and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Switzerland.
Mohammad Sufiur Rahman is a career foreign service officer belonging to 9thbatch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre. In his illustrious diplomatic career, Mr. Rahman has served extensively in various capacities both at the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad such as New Delhi, Geneva and Islamabad. He also served as Director at SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.
Before Australia, Mohammad Sufiur Rahman served as Bangladesh High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar. He has in his bag the experience of representing Bangladesh in numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings.
Mohammad Sufiur Rahman did his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). He also completed MBA from Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
In his personal life, Rahman is married to Shamsia Rahman, LLM and the couple is blessed with two daughters and a son.
Allama Siddiki appointed as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia

The Government has decided to appoint M. Allama Siddiki, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Denmark, as the next High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia.
High Commissioner-designate M. Allama Siddiki is a career foreign service officer belonging to 10thbatch of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre. In his illustrious diplomatic career, Siddiki has served extensively in various capacities both at the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad such as Tokyo, Kolkata, Islamabad and London.
Before Denmark, M. Allama Siddiki has served as Bangladesh Ambassador to Türkiye. He has in his bag the experience of representing Bangladesh in numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings.
Siddiki obtained his Honours and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka. He is married and blessed with two children.
Shahidul Karim appointed as thenew Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark

The Government has decided to appoint A K M ShahidulKarim, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Bhutan, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark.
Ambassador-designate Mr. Karim is a career foreign service officer, belonging to 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre. In his illustrious diplomatic career, Mr. Karim has served extensively in various capacities both at the Headquarters as well as in Bangladesh Missions abroad such as Stockholm, Cairo and London. He was the Bangladesh Consul General in Jeddah. Just before leaving for his maiden Ambassadorial assignment in Bhutan, Mr. Karim was serving as the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry.
A K M Shahidul Karim obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). He also participated in executive programme at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as well as completed Japanese Language Course at Kansai Kokusai Center in Osaka, Japan.
