Chitrokarkhana hosted  ‘Sharing Happiness’ with orphanage kids

In collaboration with Amal Foundation, LEEDO Peace Home and University of West of England Bristol this year Chitrokarkhana is hosting their year-end event Sharing Happiness at a grander scale. 

On 24th December Chitrokarkhana hosted a celebratory program in regard to the “Sharing Happiness” event. The program took place at LEEDO Peace Home, a non-profit organization located in Washpur and which began at 4 PM. They are upholding its tradition by distributing new clothes, winter aid, toys, stationary items, books, health and hygiene packs and necessary grocery items among the disadvantaged people through their event “Sharing happiness’.

This year Chitrokarkhana and their supportive organizations aim to bring about smiles in six hundred faces. The event began on 17th December and will continue until 25th December, in several places across the city. The event was graced by Barrister Moshiur Rahman Auvee, Head of Compliance- Asia Pacific at University of West of England Bristol presided as the chief guest. The event also observed the presence of other noteworthy personalities, Esrat Karim Eve, Founder and Director of Amal Foundation, Ahmed Farhan Muqeem, Managing Partner of Swadeshi Uddakta, Mohaiminul Raqib, Founder and Director of Bangladesh Integrated Human Development Program are to name a few.

The evening began with performances by the children of the peace home, followed by a welcome message and song sung by the children of the ‘LEEDO Peace Home. After listening to the children, Estiak Karim, co-founder of Chitrokarkhana, introduced the guests about the Chitrokarkhana Three Six Zero Team’s sustainable changes across the peace home project. Following that, renowned Bangladeshi band Arekta Rock Band played and sang with the children, along with other notable local musicians. Following the play, Santa Claus chatted with the youngsters and guests in attendance, distributing gifts and fun staffs.

We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting event. The director of LEEDO Peace Home said, “We are looking forward to hosting more events like this at our peace home and celebrating every occasion with smiles and pleasant faces.”

“Sharing Happiness” is turning six this year. Chitrokarkhana has a plan to arrange it every year and increase the number and area coverage and thus they have put their plans into place to make it impactful. Our target is to reach more people every year with the support of our partners, says SM Nazmus Sakib Adviser of Chitrokarkhana Three Six Zero. We have already signed an agreement with UWE Bristol and LEEDO Peace home to host more events like this throughout the year.
