CICA Workshop on Sustainable and Secure Development of the Internet, online held 

Dhaka August 26 2022 :

On August 24, a Workshop on Sustainable and Secure Development of the Internet under the auspices of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) was held online.

The meeting was attended by the experts of concerned state authorities, business and academia from 18 CICA Member-States – Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Vietnam, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

The workshop organized at the initiative of Russia was the first event in the framework of the new CICA confidence-building measure “Security of and in the use of ICTs”, which is co-coordinated by Russia and China for 2022-2023.

The participants of the workshop held an extensive exchange of views on the full range of issues related to the Internet development, including strengthening international cooperation, regulating the national segments of the Internet and ensuring digital sovereignty.
