Dhaka Russian Embassy invites public to express sympathy to the Gorbachev family

 

Dhaka September 03 2022 : 

 

Upon demise of the President of the Soviet Union and the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the USSR Communist Party Mikhail S. Gorbachev, Dhaka Russian Embassy invites public to express sympathy to the Gorbachev family, reads a press release by the Embassy of Russian Federation in Bangladesh on September 03 2022.

The Embassy regrets to inform about the demise of the only President of the Soviet Union, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the USSR Communist Party Mikhail S. Gorbachev on August 30, 2022 at the age of 91, after a serious and prolonged illness.

 

 

The former Soviet leader has come a long path marked by responsible work and principal decisions. His vast professional experience in the implementation of social and charitable projects as well as development of international humanitarian cooperation gained respect both among his compatriots and abroad.

He will be buried at Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery alongside with this wife Raisa, who died in 1999.

To honor his life and legacy, the Russian Embassy in Dhaka invites members of public community to express their sympathy to the Gorbachev family for their loss by sending messages of condolence.
