Dr Murad Hasan submits resignation after PM’s order

 

DHAKA, Dec 7, 2021 (BSS)-

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr M Murad Hasan has submitted his resignation today following the instruction given by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

   “After the instructions, Dr Murad has resigned from the cabinet showing personal ground as he has mentioned in his resignation letter,” officially confirmed by the ministry here today.

   Dr Murad signed his resignation letter and sent it to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry at around 12:30pm. The resignation will be sent to the Prime Minister through the cabinet division or directly to the Prime Minister’s Office.

  Prior to this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked Dr Murad to resign from the cabinet by Tuesday for giving offensive and vulgar speech about the women that became viral on the social media.

   Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader conveyed the message to Murad at 8:00pm on Monday night.
