MOU signed to promote Russia-Bangladesh Tourism

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on July 05 2022 between Travel Magazine VROMON and its Research-Wing TRD (Tourism Research and Development) and Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort to promote multi-faceted tourism with organizing various events as well as festivals, health tourism, food-fests, cultural events, Exhibitions, seminars, workshops etc.
Md. Abdus Samad, Chairman, Social Development Foundation, Ministry of Finance was present as Chief Guest and  Saidur Rahman, Director of Passport, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bangladesh;  Maxim Dobrokhotov, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka;  Tasik Ahmed, Advisor, Head of Program & Transmission, ATN Bangla Television and  Loton Ekram, Chief Reporter of Daily Samakal were present as Special Guests.
The program was chaired by Shahid Hamid, Alternate Member, World Committee on Tourism Ethics (WCTE) a subsidiary of the UNWTO General Assembly and the Executive Director, Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort Ltd., Dhaka while Abu Sufian, eminent writer and editor of Travel Magazine VROMON moderated the event.
Discussions focused on the tourism potential of Bangladesh and Russia and the desire to launch bilateral activities through representatives of the two countries soon.
The speakers said that the friendship between Bangladesh and Russia is thousands of years old.
Russia has made significant contributions in all aspects of Bangladesh’s independence struggle, including the attainment of independence and the reconstruction of Bangladesh.
Many bilateral cooperation activities between the two countries have been fruitful, but no tourism-related activities have taken place.
Now is the time to work on this issue, so that the people of the two countries can know directly about the two countries and the friendship will be even stronger.
