Offices resume after Eid-ul-Azha vacation

DHAKA, July 12, 2022 (BSS) –

The government offices, banks, share market and private offices resumed today after the vacation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, one of the major religious festivals of Muslim community.

On the first working day, officials and employees of different ministries exchanged Eid greetings at the secretariat.

This year, the government employees got four-day holidays at a stretch. July 8 and 9 were weekly holidays, July 10 and 11 were public holidays for Eid-ul-Azha which was celebrated on Sunday.

Thursday was last working day.

The Eid holidaymakers started returning to capital Dhaka after enjoying the holy Eid-ul-Azha at their village homes with the dear and near ones.

Kamalapur railway station, Sadarghat launch terminal and different bus terminals in the city were seen crowded as people returning from village homes after enjoying Eid holidays.
