Russia commends the remarkable contribution of Bangladesh to the UN peacekeeping and pays tribute to those who defend the ideals of the United Nations, sparing no effort to bring stability to the conflict-torn countries.
Of special significance is the involvement of great number of females in the peacekeeping forces and civilian service, which corresponds the women empowerment agenda, promoted both by the UN and the Government of Bangladesh, according to a release by the Embassy of Russian Federation in Bangladesh on May 29 2022.
May the constructive cooperation between the UN and peacekeeping further expand in line with the crucial principle of Bangladesh foreign policy “Friendship to all, malice to none”.
