SAAB, Dhaka Russian House celebrated 77th anniversary of the Russian Victory

Russian House in Dhaka and Soviet Alumni Association, Bangladesh (SAAB) jointly organized a memorial program dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh HE A.V. Mantytskiy, the President of SAAB Taqsem Ahmed Khan, the General Secretary of the Bangladesh-Russia Friendship Society Dr. Prof. Shahidullah Sikder, the Director of the Russian House in Dhaka M.E. Dobrokhotov, representatives of NGOs and the Russian Association compatriots «Rodina», on Friday.

The participants honored the memory of 27 million Soviet people who gave their lives in the fight against Nazi Germany, noted the decisive contribution of the Soviet Union in liberating the world from the brown plague and called for stopping all attempts to revive the fascist ideology.

The event ended by a solemn concert and the opening ceremony of the Great Patriotic War exhibition.

ঢাকার রাশিয়ান হাউস এবং সোভিয়েত অ্যালামনাই অ্যাসোসিয়েশন, বাংলাদেশ (SAAB) মহান দেশপ্রেমিক যুদ্ধে বিজয়ের ৭৭তম বার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে একটি স্মারক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করেছে।

বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত রুশ ফেডারেশনের মান্যবর রাষ্ট্রদূত এ.ভি. মানতিতস্কি, SAAB-এর সভাপতি তাকসেম আহমেদ খান, বাংলাদেশ-রাশিয়া ফ্রেন্ডশিপ সোসাইটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক ড. প্রফেসর শহীদুল্লাহ সিকদার, ঢাকার রাশিয়ান হাউসের পরিচালক এম.ই. দোব্রোখোতভ, এনজিও ও রাশিয়ান অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের স্বদেশী “রোদিনা”র প্রতিনিধিরা।

অংশগ্রহণকারীরা ২৭ মিলিয়ন সোভিয়েত জনগনদের স্মৃতির প্রতি সম্মান জানায় যারা নাৎসি জার্মানির বিরুদ্ধে লড়াইয়ে তাদের জীবন দিয়েছিল, বিশ্বকে “brown plague” থেকে মুক্ত করার ক্ষেত্রে সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়নের সিদ্ধান্তমূলক অবদানের কথা উল্লেখ করেছেন এবং ফ্যাসিবাদী মতাদর্শকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করার সমস্ত প্রচেষ্টা বন্ধ করার আহ্বান জানিয়েছে।

অনুষ্ঠানটি একটি মনোজ্ঞ কনসার্ট এবং মহান দেশপ্রেমিক যুদ্ধ প্রদর্শনীর উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে শেষ হয়।
