Swedish Ambassador Alex met with Dr. Fauzia Moslem
Dhaka December 11 2021 :

wedish Ambassador Alex met with Dr. Fauzia Moslem, President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) on December 9 2021, according to a release of Sweden Embassy in Bangladesh.
They had good discussions on matters related to ensuring women’s rights and promoting gender equality.
The importance of using a comprehensive and multi-sectoral approach was underscored, especially regarding the elimination of #GBV and in addressing the challenges imposed by Covid-19 on the situation for women and girls.
Established in 1970, BMP has expanded its outreach all over the country through more than 15,000 women volunteers that include urban, educated, professional women as well as rural agricultural workers.
While carrying out nationwide field activities, that include legal support and mediation among others, BMP is also an influential actor for women’s rights at the policy level.
