The SputnikPro seminar for Bangladeshi Journalists held virtually

The SputnikPro seminar for Journalists titled “How to find an interesting angle for the news story in digital age?” held on August 01 2022 virtually.

Different Journalists of Bangladesh, participants from Dhaka Russian House and Embassy of Russian Federation in Dhaka, among others, took part in the seminar.

 

 

Oleg Dmitriev, Advisor at Rossiya Segodnya. PhD (Philology), Professor at the School of Media, Higher School of Economics was the key note speaker while Asya Samoilova, Head of Department, International Cooperation Department, Rossiya Segodnya moderated the session.

 

 

Oleg Dmitriev, during his presentation emphasized on How to reach target audience, How to  find out  figures, facts and details.

He also focused on Coverage angle considering the audience’s interests when picking good news as a Journalist. 

Oleg Dmitriev is currently an advisor to International news media Sputnik (Rossiya Segodnya media group), a professor at the Media Department of HSE University, and an academic supervisor of the International News Production HSE Masters’ Program.

He worked as the news director and acting managing director of the English Service of the “Voice of Russia” Radio which is now Radio Sputnik.

 

 

He served as the training director of RT television news channel from 2007 to 2013. In the 1990s, he was a contributor to the CNN World Report, an international show that broadcast world news from local perspectives.

 

 

Sputnik is a Russian state-owned news agency, news website platform and radio broadcast service was established by the Russian government-owned news agency Rossiya Segodnya on 10 November 2014 organized the webinar as a part of training session for Bangladeshi Journalists and interested in developing professional ties with Bangladeshi media, specifically in content exchange in English.
